RE: A Call to Defend Marriage

I am asking all those who agree for your help to defend natural marriage by making a submission to the Federal Senate’s inquiry into a Green’s bill to legalise same-sex marriage.

We are asking everyone to make a short submission to show politicians that Australians want to keep marriage between one man and one woman only.

Attached are the details of how best to make an effective submission. Please note all submissions are to be made no later than 2 April 2012.

I encourage you to take a stand for what you believe in so that righteousness may be exalted in our nation.

But if you are busy and don’t have time, please cut and paste this template below and email it today. While we don’t normally use form letters, the tactics of the gay activists demand we respond in this way – in politics numbers count.

To Whom it May Concern
I am writing to voice my opposition to changing the definition of marriage.

• Marriage is a unique relationship between one man and one woman.
• Marriage is the foundation of family, which in turn is the foundation of society.
• If marriage can be redefined to include two people of the same gender, why not three or more people?
• Marriage is deeply valued by a large proportion of the population for cultural and religious reasons and this should be respected.
• Redefining marriage has potential serious consequences for religious freedom and freedom of conscience.
• Same-sex marriage sets up a new family model that trashes the truth that gender is vital to a child in family formation.
• Research shows that a child with married, biological mother and father do best.
• Children should be given the chance to start life with both their biological parents.

Local MP's and Government

As citizens we have a duty to communicate with our parliamentarians and let them know our views. Their role, as our elected representatives, is to represent us.

However, as an article called 'Why Does Democracy Fail' from Compton's encyclopedia explains, they cannot represent US if we don't tell them what we think about a particular issue. We have a responsibility to communicate with our MPs.

 We live in a blessed nation but Australia is on a steep moral decline. Everywhere you look we are making excuses for a sliding lifestyle and more people are blind to it than ever before.
