Victory Action

Victory Action has been established to enable you to action your faith. James 2:20 says faith without works is dead. We all have a sphere of influence, and Victory Action aims to encourage Christians to utilise their influence and voice to speak out for righteousness in our nation.

We will give you access to other organisations and websites that will keep you current with ongoing and upcoming issues seeking to erode our Christian Heritage. You will be alerted to issues that require a specific action. This may be petitions needing to be signed and submitted for tabling in Parliament, letters and emails to be sent to out Parliamentarians, encouraging our leaders or regarding legislation on moral issues that need to be opposed and to newspapers, TV and radio stations. Our God is a God of the impossible - never underestimate what God will do when you begin to speak out and stand up for righteousness, whether in prayer or in the media.

"No one could make a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little" Edmund Burke

Act Now

Local MP's and Government

As citizens we have a duty to communicate with our parliamentarians and let them know our views. Their role, as our elected representatives, is to represent us.

However, as an article called 'Why Does Democracy Fail' from Compton's encyclopedia explains, they cannot represent US if we don't tell them what we think about a particular issue. We have a responsibility to communicate with our MPs.

Letter from Patrick J Byrne (NCC Vice President)

Dear Friends,

Please take 2 mins to act on these key issues.

1. The Federal Same Sex Marriage bills may be voted on in the House of Reps as soon as next week.

Both Coalition and Labor politicians have made dissenting reports to the Senate inquiry, which supported Greens Senator Hanson-Young’s same sex marriage bill. Based on these dissenting reports here are SEPARATE LETTERS you can CUT, PASTE AND SEND to for COALITION and LABOR parliamentarians

1. Letter to COALITION members

COALITION SENATORS GET IT RIGHT ON MARRIAGE

Coalition senators got it right on marriage in their dissenting report to the Senate Inquiry into same-sex marriage. They said:
There is no sense of high priority within the community for same-sex marriage 1.18
Renowned researchers tell us that children do best when they grow up with both biological parents. 1.20
It would be an exercise in futility for the Parliament to devote scarce parliamentary time and resources legislating on an issue that is clearly divisive on social, religious and cultural grounds and which stands a high risk of being ultra vires, only to have the legislation struck down by the High Court of Australia. 1.43

Please maintain the coalition’s commitment to support natural marriage and vote against current bills to change the Marriage Act.

2. Letters to LABOR and OTHER members

LABOR SENATORS GET IT RIGHT ON MARRIAGE

ALP senators Furner, Polley, Bilyk, Sterle, Stephens, Gallacher and Bishop got it right on marriage in their dissenting report to the Senate Inquiry into same-sex marriage. They said:
“We reject the notion that the Marriage Act as it currently stands discriminates against those who choose same-sex relationships and maintain that the Marriage Act has as its primary purpose the protection and wellbeing of children.”

Please vote against any bills that change the current Marriage Act.

Raising Voices for Righteousess in our Nation

By Margaret Court - Senior Pastor of Perth Victory Life Centre and a former world No.1 tennis player

We live in a blessed nation but Australia is on a steep moral decline. Everywhere you look we are making excuses for a sliding lifestyle and more people are blind to it than ever before. Our Constitution is based on biblical principles and our nation is great because of it. We are a country with a moral fabric and families and marriage are at its core. But increasingly our kids are being taught that anything goes. As a society we are losing touch with fundamental Christian values, as our leaders lean towards an agenda of political correctness to keep the minorities happy.

  • Marriage
Let’s keep the wildlife out of marriage debate

Sarrah Le Marquand – The Daily Telegraph
  • Failure to draw an immediate connection between the marital prospects of livestock and the push to legalise same-sex marriage is quite understandable. Perfectly sensible, in fact. So it pains me to admit that upon hearing of a well-known singer’s passionate defence of gay marriage during Mardi Gras, my first thought was “Oh no, please don’t bring goats into this”. Yet that’s precisely what Sneaky Sound System frontwoman Connie Mitchell did when she chose the annual Mardi Gras festivities to reveal her bisexuality and speak out in favour of same-sex nuptials. “If you want to get married, you should be able to get married to whoever you want – and that includes marrying a goat if you feel like it,” she declared.
  • Homeschooling families can’t teach homosexual acts sinful in class says Alberta Government
Patrick B Craine – Life Site News
  • Under Alberta’s new Education Act, homeschoolers and faith-based schools will not be permitted to teach that homosexual acts are sinful as part of their academic program, says the spokesperson for Education Minister Thomas Lukaszuk. “Whatever the nature of schooling – homeschool, private school, Catholic school – we do not tolerate disrespect for differences,” Donna McColl, Lukaszuk’s assistant director of communications, told LifeSiteNews on Wednesday evening.
  • Sexualisation of Society
UK: Dame Joan blames teenage magazines for sexualising girls with ‘coarsening trash on a huge scale’

Liz Thomas – The Daily Mail
  • Dame Joan Bakewell has attacked teen magazines for fuelling the premature sexualisation of young girls. She said teenage girls were being offered ‘coarsening trash on a huge scale’ and this was having an impact on their attitudes to sex and their bodies. The 78-year-old may have helped lead the sexual revolution of the Sixties but told the Bath Literature Festival that things had gone too far because everything had become about money. She insisted ‘financial’ motivation was creating a culture where sex was being used to sell publications to teens.
