Short Courses for JanuaryBasics for New Believers is facilitated by Ps Alan Wells, (he is away til end of Jan so check who will be replacing him) every Sunday in Bible College Room 1, from 9-10 am. This foundational course will teach you the basics of the Christian Faith, equipping you in your new walk with Christ. Warren and Sue Stevens will be facilitating Making Marriage Better, commencing on the 24th of January. Making Marriage Better will be held in the Greaves Room, every Tuesday night starting at 7pm and will run for 10 weeks. This course is for any married couple, newlyweds to veterans. You will learn things you never knew about you partner and teach you how to communicate better with each other. The cost for this short course is $50 per manual. Register at your interest at reception now. Weekly CoursesTurnaround Turn Around is a support Group for those wanting freedom to pursue a better future. By working and applying the Word of God and the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit we can begin to turn our lives around as we accept God's grace working in our lives. Turn Around offers a safe environment for people to feel accepted, where confidentiality is assured so the healing power of God can begin to work. This 10 Session program teaches how to build a great marriage from whatever point you are at; How to keep love fresh and how to handle the boredom, conflict and stress associated with marriage. Couples will learn what it take to keep passion alive, build a more loving relationship and discover more about the uniqueness of their partner. For further information on the Making Marriage Better short course click here, Valiant Man Valiant Man is an excellent 11 week course that unfolds for men, young and old, to discover their own moral and spiritual vitality. It has been written by Allan Meyer, who presents through video, which is then followed by discussion in small groups with confidentiality being observed. There will be opportunity to consider key issues in this tremendously important area for men. The Marriage Course A seven session course set in a fantastic atmosphere. You will be served with a special meal and/or coffee, tea and dessert at a romantic candlelit table for two whilst listening to practical talks that are informative and fun, either given live or played on DVD. There is never any group work and you will never be asked to share anything about your relationship with anyone other than your partner. Over sessions you will discover practical tools to help you:
The Alpha Course The Alpha course is designed primarily for people who aren't churchgoers and each course is open to everyone who would like to attend. Most courses attract a diverse range of guests of different ages and backgrounds, holding many different viewpoints. The talks each week cover the following topics, which people are then free to discuss in the small groups afterwards:
