What's it all about?

Jesus loves You.

No matter where you're at, Jesus wants to help you. He accepts you just the way you are and He loves you so much that He died for you so that you could have a fresh start and live life beyond the ordinary. In God's eyes, you are unique and special, created to share in His creation, to love, laugh and know Him personally in your life.

FOR TODAY- The Bible tells us that God knows the thoughts He has for you, thoughts to give you a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). He wants to bless you and guide you so that you have a purpose and meaning and you are free to live life to the fullest in Him.

FOREVER- Your spirit and soul (the living, thinking parts of you) are eternal. Through faith in Jesus Christ we have the promise of eternal life with God in heaven. Don't go though life not knowing where you're going.

THE FACTS- Nothing can separate us from the love of God but we have to make a choice. No one can make it to heaven without Jesus. The Bible says 'all have fallen short' but no matter what you've done or where you're at, God has made a way for you through His son. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 3:23, 1 Corinthians 6:9-12)

ONE WAY- Verbally accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. The Bible tells us the truth; there is only one way to the Father, through His Son, Jesus Christ. (John 5:22, John 14:6)

How do I Make Jesus Lord?

In John 3:3, Jesus tells us "...no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again."

God does not want anyone to perish. He offers the choice of life and the choice is yours! So take control of your future in a positive way, start with this vital prayer:

ACCEPTANCE PRAYER

Rom 10:9-10 "..if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Heavenly Father,

I come to You in Jesus' name. I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Son of God and because of His great love, He died on the cross for me, overcame death and rose again.

I repent of all my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. Come into my life, Lord Jesus, and be my Lord and Saviour. I recieve You now by faith and praise and thank You that I am a new creation.

I thank You that You love me, God, help me to trust in You and Love You with all my heart.

In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Welcome to life beyond the ordinary, your new life in the Family of Christ!

If you said this prayer for the first time, we would love to hear from you. Please contact our Pastoral Team on 9202 7111 or send us an email at vlc@vlictorylifecentre.com.au

How can I be Filled with the Holy Spirit?

What does the Bible say:

Luke 11:9-12
"So I say to you: Ask and it will be given unto you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives and he who seeks finds and to him who knocks it will be opened. If a son asks for bread from any father among you will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him! "

John the Baptist said this about Jesus:
John 1:33 'This is He (Jesus) who baptises with the Holy Spirit'

Jesus is the One who baptises us with the Holy Spirit. Once we have been born again it is important to ask Jesus to fill us with His Holy Spirit. It is always by faith that we both ask and receive.

We simply ask Jesus in prayer to fill us with His Spirit and then begin to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gives you utterance.

Ask Him with this prayer:

Lord Jesus,

I ask You to fill me with Your Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

By faith I believe that I receive.

Now begin to speak out in the language that the Spirit gives you (not in English).
